SoapBespoke was founded by Pauline Southam in 2009 and produces wonderfully luxurious, unique handmade soaps and associated bathing products. What makes these gifts so special is that the smell and memory are so closely intertwined that, when their family and friends use the soaps, they will be reminded of the wedding day or the anniversary, while at the same time delaying the ageing of their skin.

Our soaps have been certified by one of the most senior toxicologists in the United Kingdom . The important ingredient in our soaps, Glycerine, is hailed as one of the best kept secrets to retain moisture between skin layers and every bar of SoapBespoke soaps contains approximately one third of Glycerine. Glycerine helps to prevent wrinkles and dryness and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. Traces of glycerine can be found in very small doses of some everyday household products but it was originally used by our ancestors as a natural healing remedy in its raw form. This made Pauline look at the reasons why we have limited its use in our beauty products and it seems the beauty industry has strayed from the best known source of moisture retention and hydration to sell it as a by-product, where it is more profitable to them. Cleansing with Glycerine is by far the best ingredient for helping to prevent drying and will plump out wrinkles, which is basically dehydrated skin.
